Five Herb Kohl Educators Selected as 2021 Wisconsin Public School Teachers of the Year

State Superintendent Carolyn Stanford Taylor today recognized five exemplary Wisconsin educators for being named the 2021 Wisconsin Teachers of the Year. The group was notified of their selection for the honor by Stanford Taylor earlier today at a virtual gathering. The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation will provide a $3,000 personal award to each of those selected. They are Koren Jackson, Milwaukee Transition High School; Trisha Kilpin, Greendale School District; Brooke Kintzle (nee Lederman), Broadhead Middle School; Derrick Meyer, Amery High School; and Susan Richardson, Milwaukee German Immersion School. Herb Kohl Foundation 2020 Recognition Luncheons Cancelled

To help safeguard the health and well-being of everyone invited to attend 2020 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation award recipient recognition luncheons, we are cancelling all luncheons. Events scheduled for April 26 in Eau Claire, May 3 in De Pere, May 9 in Milwaukee, and May 16 in Baraboo are cancelled. All award recipients and luncheon invitees will be notified by email.

Herb Kohl Foundation Announces 2020 Award Banquets

The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation will honor recipients of 2020 Wisconsin student, teacher and principal awards at regional luncheons on April 26 in Eau Claire (CESAs 4, 9, 10, 11, 12), May 3 (CESAs 6, 7, 8) in DePere, May 9 in Milwaukee (CESA 1), and May 16 (CESAs 2, 3, 5) in Baraboo. Award recipients and their school principals will receive e-invitations the week of February 17, 2020.
