On June 12, 2008 checks will be mailed to 2008 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellows and their schools. Each Fellowship recipient will receive a $1000 award and each Fellow's school will receive a matching $1000 award.
On March 6, 2008, the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation announced recipients of 2008 Herb Kohl scholarships and fellowships. For a copy of the press release that has been distributed statewide, and a list of recipients, click on "Press Releases" at the top of this page.
The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation is now providing $3,000 grants to each of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's Teachers of the Year. Annually, four teachers are chosen by DPI to receive this award. One of the four educators will be chosen to represent Wisconsin in the National Teacher of the Year competition and will receive an additional $6,000 from the Kohl Foundation. You can nominate an educator in your community for the 2009 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship award on line. Click on "Forms" at the top of this page. On the "Teachers" page, click on "On Line Nomination". The nomination deadline is October 3, 2008.
